ABOUT APRIL

April Kinney Corbett is an author, photographer, blogger, and mother of one; who is employed full-time in managed care. Writing is her passion and it shows. Whether non-fiction, fiction, or poetry, there is no doubt you will be taken along on an amazing journey! Her first published work entitled, 'It's My Life & I'll Smile If I Want To' is a compilation of raw emotion based upon a multitude of real life issues and situations.

The Adventures of Chopper & T is her second published work. A children's book which shows how art, music and nature can help with emotions; while also bringing awareness of rare and invisible disabilities to children at a young age. Inspired by her daughter, Tiana Hope, who was born with a rare brain disorder. April feels if Tiana can overcome, we can, too.

Helping just one person feel more connected, less alone, and somehow inspired on their journey, is what her life passion is all about! April's writing has been published online for The Mighty, and Jason's Connection. She is an instructor for Keep St Pete Lit, as well as affiliated with Safety Harbor Writers and Poets and SCBWI. Advocacy for her child, freelance writing, travel, painting and photography take up most of her free time, as well as being active in her local community and church.

Originally from Portland Maine, April now resides in Florida.
